Killarney, co. Kerry (13 December 2014)
Ever since I arrived in Ireland, I’ve been told that County Kerry, and particularly Killarney, is one of the most beautiful parts of the country. I finally got the chance to see it for myself this weekend and I was definitely not disappointed.

Despite living in Ireland for nine months now, I haven’t seen as much of the country as I would like. Unlike the semesters of undergrad when I studied in London, England and Sevilla, Spain, the MA has, understandably, taken up quite a bit of my time (and my finances) and so I haven’t spent my weekends travelling and exploring. When my family came to visit this past week, however, they wanted to see more than just Dublin and Galway, the two cities I’m most familiar with, so it was a good time to get the full tourist experience.
Sun, Sun, Sun, Here it Comes
The weather in Galway has been gorgeous the last few days, a nice change from the rain and gloom of the previous week(s/months). The docks down by the Spanish Arch have been packed with people relaxing the sun and the Salthill prom has been as busy as can be for weekdays. Obviously I’ve been spending as much time as possible outside, enjoying the weather with everyone else. Here are a few photos I took when I was out:
